The model of my laptop is HP 15ay-103tx...(bought in 2016)

7th gen i5 with DDR4 4GB RAM & dedicated  AMD Radeon R5 M430 GPU

sometimes It is struggling to load and work with some software like CLion, IntelliJ & then the whole OS is lagging

THE TROUBLE IS, IT HAS SOME 5 OR 6 BRIGHTER WHITE   AREAS  ON THE DISPLAY. so I'm not sure how long will be able to use this laptop...

the I want to know IS IT WORTH TO UPGRADE at least to 8GB of RAM with SATA III SSD(I think this pc haven't m.2 slot.. IS IT CORRECT? ) because of the display issue

Or is it better to buy a new one latter 

& what is the reason for the display issue? Is it a manufacturing efect?

the purpose of the laptop nowadays is coding.. and run some advanced programs in future..(I'm a 1st year IT student... University of Moratuwa)
