I need to replace my old laptop (which has an ancient i7-2670QM and GT 555m) for both working and gaming reasons.

I really don't want to spend more than $1000, I want a Thunderbolt 3 x4 port, and I want a GTX 1060 or higher. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I am also wondering how long until the Coffee Lake refreshes come out.

Or you can refer to the laptop recommended in this article: https://pc4u.org/best-gaming-laptops-under-1000-dollars/ , please tell me what is the best choice?

Hi @avalonve,

Which country are you from? This is a broad question but you could simply round up your choices based on the price point. Asus, MSI are good choices when it comes to a Gaming + Work Laptop.

MSI has a wider range with many facilities at a good price compared to other brands. Based on the country you live in, you can Quickly surf a website or two to get the research going.

If you can hold it a bit longer and wait for the intel CPU + VEGA graphic Laptops to arrive, you will have a lot of options to choose from.
