Dell G5 R7 has the better performing hardware on paper therefore it should have the faster render times.

But please check individual reviews for both laptops online. Check for thermal throttling issues and dispalys color accuracy in reviews because they are important if you are doing design/creative work.

If you are going with the Dell option, also consider whether the 3d/animation softwares you use have proper support for AMD Radeon graphics.
