I have a PC with Intel DH77KC motherbaord. Now PC was out of use for some time and became bit faulty. Mainly disks are not functioning very well as issues are given when booting. Thinking of fixing this out. Can you give me some suggestion on what I can do? Like what type of storage can be used with this motherboad, any devices that should be upgraded. BTW, I do not have a UPS, can this be the cause for disk failures ?

Current spec:

  • Intel DH77KC
  • Intel® Core™ i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz
  • SAMSUNG HD502HJ (500GB)
  • SEAGATE ST1000DM003 (1 TB)
  • SEAGATE ST3000DM001 (3 TB)
  • ADATA 8GB RAM (AX3U1600GW8G9-1G)
  • Cooler Master GX bronze 650W Power supply
  • Cooler Master Elite 430 casing
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)

hello if you get any errors in disk i recommended its better to check your hard disk by hard disk sentinel pro and check the health percentage and errors. and its better to replace your errored hard drives with new ones.
after that you its better you can get a other ssd to use as boot drive it make your pc speed and responsive .

btw if you see errors in multiple disk it can be cause by other component of your pc like PSU . because its bit old one. So please check the psu by known shop with their devices before you replacing the hard drive otherwise new ones also can be corrupted

other than that pc is pretty much ok
