How to check my ram slots are working properly ?

Refer to your motherboards manul when adding ram into the slots. There's a correct order to insert ram to get optimum performance (related to ram channel arrangements). You can find the manual from motherboard manufactures website.

If you just want to check whether all your ram slots work, you can use one correctly working ram and try all the slots one at a time and check whether computer turns on properly.

i have Gigabyte H110M-S2PV-CF mother board. im planning to exceed ram up to 16GB.is it better to use 16x1 or 8x2 ?
