in video editing multitasking very important but gaming single core speed is the important thing. So ryzen 5 2600 have 6 cores and 12 threads but Intel 9400f only have 6 core and 6 threads because of that Ryzen has much multitasking power than Intel one so it is much better for video editing and rendering. and other side ryzen single core speed is 0.2 lower than Intel but i think that gap is not considerable because both are performing those speed only in boost clock speed so most of times processor cannot reach to their top speed while having a huge load in it. So my opinion is ryzen 2600 is the better choice over i5 9400f

both don't have inbuilt graphic processor and the prices are lesser when considering ryzen parts like motherboard. and also 2600 can overclock out of the box with a suitable motherboard
