My GPU had stopped this week and I looked for one to buy. I have found a great offer for an RX 5700XT card but I have heard that card was used for cryptocurrency mining. Is it not safe to buy this kind of card. How to check the GPU before buying whether it is in good condition. (seller agreed to give me 3 months warranty period and the price is like half as a new one)

There's no simple way to tell whether a card used for mining is good or bad. According to amount of hours mined, conditions of the mining rig(airflow, dust, gpu temperatures) some graphic cards may have there life degraded more than a gaming used graphic card.

If you can check to make sure graphic card works properly in games and physically inspect it for excessive dust, broken fans before buying it will be most probably be okay.

But only having 3 months warranty is big disadvantage compared to 2-3 year warranty of brand new product but thats the trade-off you have decide to get a cheaper gpu.
